Terms of service

These terms are an agreement between you and [Company legal name], [Street and number], [Postcode and city], [Country] ("Minaya", "we").

Minaya ingests content you supply, generates embeddings from it, and serves an embeddable chat widget that answers your visitors from that content. We aim to keep the service available and correct, but we provide it as-is, without a guarantee of uninterrupted uptime.

You keep ownership of everything you upload. You grant us only the permission needed to run the service: to store your content, generate embeddings, and send relevant excerpts to an AI provider to produce an answer.

You confirm you have the right to use the content you add, and that it does not infringe anyone else's rights.

Do not use Minaya to publish unlawful content, impersonate someone else, harass people, or attempt to extract other customers' data. We may suspend an account that does, and will tell you why.

Minaya answers from the content you provide, and stays within the topics you configure. Even so, generated text can be wrong or incomplete. You are responsible for what your widget tells your visitors. Review it, set a fallback message, and do not use it as the sole source for advice that carries legal, medical, or financial consequence.

Paid plans bill monthly in advance. You can cancel at any time and keep access until the end of the period you have paid for. When you supply your own OpenAI or Claude key, that usage is billed to you by that provider directly. We add no markup and never see that invoice.

You can close your account whenever you like. We may end the agreement if these terms are broken, or if we discontinue the service, in which case we will give you reasonable notice and a way to export your content.

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for intent or gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, or wherever the law does not allow a limitation.

Otherwise, our total liability for all claims arising from the service is limited to the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses such as lost profits or lost data you could have backed up.

We may update these terms as the service changes. We will email you about material changes at least 30 days before they take effect. If you keep using Minaya after that, the new terms apply; if you do not agree, you can close your account before then.

These terms are governed by the laws of [Country whose law governs the terms]. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live.
